Suited for domestic and representative grade coaches, the Club Coach Course is the most commonly delivered course throughout NSW. It is typically viewed as the entry-level basketball coaching accreditation for any coach who is interested in investing time into improving their coaching skill set.
Basketball NSW is the governing body for basketball in New South Wales. Basketball NSW is an affiliated member of Basketball Australia (BA), the national governing body. Our aim is to grow, develop and promote the game by supporting our members, stakeholders and the basketball family in general.
Following on from the momentum in 2019, 2020 has shown to be a great year for Coach Education. Of the 16 courses already run in 2020, BNSW have conducted 15 Club Coach courses (formerly level 1s) and one Association Coach Course (formerly level 2s). These courses provide coaches with a basic foundation of teaching philosophies that are in line with Basketball Australia’s philosophies and are essential for any junior representative coach to at least have a Club Coach accreditation.
Basketball NSW will provide expert coaching with elements of mentoring, training, education and support. Athletes that are selected into DAP will be required to attend a weekly individual session during terms 4 and 1. The weekly workouts will be in the morning approx 6:15am-7:30am.
ASSOCIATION COACHING COURSE | The Association Coaching Course (previously known as Level 2) is for aspiring NSW State Team or High Performance basketball coaches, or if you want to deepen your knowledge of basketball? If so the Association Coach course is the perfect coaching course to learn about the intricacies of basketball coaching.

COMMUNITY COACHING COURSE | This course is designed specifically for Manly Warringah Basketball Association local competition coaches / university students or parents looking to further develop their skills.
